What's my username?
Your D2L username is your firstname.lastname.

How do I login into D2L?
Go to D2L's login page at http://mninfinity.desire2learn.com, where you can enter in your D2L username and password to login in to D2L.

Can I connect to my D2L course from home?
You can access your Desire2Learn courses from anywhere as long as you have access to the Internet

I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it?
Call 1-800-624-4072 to have your number reset.

How do I change my password after I login to my D2L courses?
To change your password, click on the "My Password" link in the left menu of your "My Home" page in D2L.

How do I send email from within D2L?
Click on the Email link in the navbar at the top of the page. You can send messages to your instructor and/or classmates. (You cannot send or receive email outside of the Desire2Learn system). Be sure to cc or bcc yourself so that you retain a copy of the message.

How do I open documents that are in my course?
You may click on the document link to open it. However, the best way is to right-click the link and open it in a new window. For PowerPoint or PDF documents, it may work best if you save it to a local location (such as your desktop or a local course folder) and then open it directly by double-clicking it.

Do I need special software to use D2L?
A: Not really. Any web browser should be able to access D2L. If you have any difficulty with the browser of your choice, however, you might want to try using one of the officially supported ones. Internet Explorer 6 for Windows and Netscape 7.2 or greater for Macintosh work best with all features of D2L. (Students may need additional software to open documents that your instructor provides within D2L, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader, or QuickTime.)

I can’t see my course – what do I do?
Courses are not released for student access until the first day of the semester. Until that time, you should make sure you have completed the Student Orientation course to familiarize yourself with the Desire2Learn system. If you still do not see your courses, after the start date of the semester, please contact the technical support desk at 1-800-624-4072.
